New in 2024, Co-Mo Connect Powered by Co-Mo Electric Cooperative is looking for local teachers who would like to receive a grant for their classrooms.

The period to apply for a Co-Mo grant opens October 1. All application materials must be turned in by October 31.

To enhance the education of area students, the Co-Mo Cares Trust Board allocates funds from Operation Round Up to Power Up — the organization's educational grant program. Teachers located at schools within the Co-Mo Connect service territory are eligible to apply for funds to support projects outside of regular school funding for grades K-12.

Applications for the grant can be picked up at either Co-Mo office or you may download them using the PDF forms below. The application and all associated materials can be brought to either of Co-Mo's offices or mailed to:

Michele Jensen, Co-Mo Executive Administrative Assistant and Coordinator of the Operation Round Up program said offering the grant is in keeping with the values of the electric cooperative world.

"Part of being a cooperative means having a genuine concern for a community. The generosity of our members through programs such as Operation Round Up allows us to do that and make a difference in the lives of youth in our area," Jensen said.

Power Up Grants will be awarded to teachers within the 9-county service area of Co-Mo Connect who demonstrate the need for items that will enhance their classrooms.
