Gary Lee Harris - District 2

Gary Harris is a native of Cooper County, graduating from Prairie Home High School.


He worked his way through college, graduating with Honors from CMSU with a B.S. degree in Agri Business.  While being City Administrator, and City Engineer for the City of Boonville,  Gary accomplished many innovative initiatives such as helping start and Promote the Cooper Howard County Port Authority, promoting and building the Boonville Airport, finishing a secondary sewage treatment plant, and negotiating land acquisition from the State of Missouri for a new City Services facility.  He also served on The Mid Mo Regional Planning Commission.  He currently serves on the Nominating committee for CoBank. CoBank is a nationwide cooperative which lends Money to Agricultural coops, Rural Electric coops, & Farm Credit Services.
 

Gary is retired after a lengthy career with MFA Oil Co. where he served in Management, and then as an Auditor and Fraud investigator.
 

Gary and his wife Janet own and live on a farm South of Boonville.  They have a daughter LeAna, and two granddaughters.
 

Gary is seeking re-election because he loves Rural Missouri, and cares about the people who live here.  He has served as Vice President of the CoMo Board for many years.  He has completed many courses provided by NRECA, and continues to take courses they offer in order to stay up to date on current issues affecting Rural Electric coops.  He has been a strong supporter of CoMo Connect from the beginning, and is pleased to promote, and watch, as it continues to grow and become more important to CoMo, to the CoMo Members, and the citizens of this area.
 

If you reelect me to the CoMo Board, I will continue to listen to Member concerns, and to help assure that CoMo continues to provide excellent service at reasonable prices.
