Co-Mo Connect Powered by Co-Mo Electric Cooperative was one of 35 Missouri electric cooperatives recognized for their commitment to workplace safety. Employees of the cooperative have now worked a total of 834,137 hours without a lost-time accident.

“We are proud of the steps these cooperatives have taken to ensure each and every employee goes home safely to their families at the end of every day,” said Johnie Hendrix, vice president of risk management and training for the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC). “We offer a tremendous amount of training that always stresses safety. But in the end, it is the employees themselves who have created a culture of safety at these cooperatives.”

“More than 834,000 hours without a lost-time accident is an incredible accomplishment, but what I’m most proud of is what that number represents,” said Aaron Bradshaw, CEO of Co-Mo Connect Powered by Co-Mo Electric Cooperative. “It represents employees looking out for one another, taking the time to do the job the right way, and making safety part of every decision they make. Our goal is simple. At the end of every day, we want every member of our team going home safely to the people who count on them.”

The recognition was presented Sept. 30 during the 2026 annual meeting of AMEC, the Jefferson City-based statewide service organization for Missouri’s electric cooperatives.
