Rick Joseph Everhart, Sr. - District 1

My name is Rick Everhart, and I am seeking re-election. I have served on the Co-Mo Electric and Co-Mo Comm Board of Directors for 12 years and have successfully completed and received my CCD, BLC, and Director Gold certifications. I have been serving as Secretary/Treasurer for Co-Mo Electric for the past 9 years. I started my career in line clearance, trimming trees for Kansas City Power & Light as a young man, where I worked for 9 years side by side with linemen in some extremely hazardous conditions to keep the lights on. I then spent over three decades in the IT industry, where my wife Leona & I owned and operated Micro-Tek Distribution and Stovermo.com (ISP/WISP) by serving communities with high-speed internet and by building, servicing, and enhancing technologies into people's homes. schools and businesses. 12 of those years were spent as the Technology Director for a local School District serving students and staff. I have since retired from technology professionally and am currently working at Weavers Tire Service, serving the community and keeping their technology up to date. The most rewarding part of my life is serving God with all my heart, mind, and soul. God has blessed me with my beautiful wife, Leona, of 41 years, 5 children, and 6 grandchildren. I currently serve as a chaplain for CAM (Christian Aid Ministries), and my family and I are members of the Ridgeview Mennonite Church in Barnett, MO.

 

Serving our members has been very educational, exciting & rewarding. We have accomplished more than we could imagine, with so much more ahead of us. I believe with education, knowledge, and collaboration between members, employees, and directors, we will continue to thrive as a successful Co-op.
