Aaron Long - District 2

I believe I would be a strong choice to serve on the Co-Mo Electric Cooperative Board of Directors because I bring a lifelong connection to this community, a strong background in business and agriculture, and years of experience serving in local leadership roles.
I was born and raised on a beef and poultry farm just outside Tipton, Missouri, and I understand the values, challenges, and priorities of the families, farms, and small businesses in this area. After graduating from Tipton High School, I attended Missouri State University, where I earned a double major in Agricultural Sales and Marketing and Finance and Management in 2006.
For more than 11 years, I have been self-employed and have owned and operated a small local business. I have also been a cattle producer for the past 16 years and own a farm north of Clarksburg. Through these experiences, I have developed a practical understanding of budgeting, financial responsibility, problem-solving, and making decisions with both short-term needs and long-term success in mind.
Just as important to me as my professional background is my commitment to community service. Over the years, I have served on the St. Andrew Parish Council, was president of the St. Andrew Advisory board, served on the Tipton Recreation Association Board, and am also a past director of the Tipton Chamber of Commerce. These roles have given me valuable experience working with others, listening to different perspectives, and making decisions that serve the best interests of the community.
I have been married for 19 years, and my wife and I have been blessed with three children. Family, faith, hard work, and service are values that guide my life. I believe in doing the right thing, standing up for what I believe in, and making sure people’s voices are heard.
