David R. Shaul – Jamestown
David Shaul is married to the former Joyce Reynolds and resides at the farm near Jamestown, which has been in the family since the 1850’s. Joyce’s parents and grandparents were among the first to realize the benefits of electric service provided by Co-Mo.
They have four adult children and eight grand-children.
David is a retired Lieutenant from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and currently holds a reserve commission with the Moniteau County Sheriff’s Department, having a total of 43 years of law enforcement service.
As a former Colonel with over 30 years of service in the US Army and Missouri National Guard he is a veteran of the Iraqi war, and Kosovo campaign. David performed emergency duty in Ferguson during the riots there.
David’s formal education includes a BS degree from Central Missouri State University and a Master’s Degree from the US Army War College. He is a graduate of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy, and the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.
David currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Peoples Bank of Moniteau County and the recent past President of the Christopher Casey Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. He belongs to the California Masonic Lodge, The Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans, and the National Rifle Association.
Throughout his military and law enforcement careers, David has served on various boards and in senior decision-making positions. He is fiscally conservative and believes in a forward looking approach to further the progress of Co-Mo in terms of program and project development, and thorough ongoing assessment and resourcing to satisfy the needs of the Membership.
