Co-Mo Connect 84th Annual Meeting
- Thursday, May 25, 2023 -
Allen John Rehmer - District 1
I am Allen Rehmer, candidate for Co-Mo Board of Directors from District 1. My wife Delores and I own the Benton County farm my parents moved to in 1947. We have 3 grown daughters and 7 granddaughters ranging from 3 to 17. Over the years our home has gone from hand-pumping water into a tank in the attic to having a water well, ground source heat pumps and solar system.
After graduating DeVry KC in 1986 I designed, installed and troubleshot control systems. As a Field Service Engineer I serviced petrochemical plants in Louisiana to a paper mill on the Canadian Border and textile mill in South Carolina to drinking water treatment in Los Angeles.
Joining an offshore drilling company as Electronic Tech, I was promoted to Electrical Supervisor. I became responsible for generation and distribution of electrical power and other equipment maintained by Electricians and Electronic Techs. Training included High Voltage Safety and certification as Hazardous Area Electrical Inspector. My experiences range from conflict management to switchgear maintenance (as well as learning to exit a helicopter under water).
I am currently on the board of the Sedalia Chorale vocal group. I served on the board of the Cole Camp Ambulance District where I was Secretary for three years. I have been Master of Shawnee Lodge No. 653 AF&AM in Warsaw and currently serve as Chaplin in that lodge. I also belong to the York Rite bodies in Jefferson City, Shriners in Warsaw and Scottish Rite Masonry in Kansas City. I have a Ham Radio Extra license and enjoy blacksmithing.
Your support will put someone on the board interested in helping the community and always available to the members and other public no matter the district. I will be honored to present my own experience based perspective and active participation.
